FamilySearch is the largest non-profit and the 800lb gorilla in the family history space. They have more genealogical records than anyone else and run RootsTech which is the largest family history conference in the world.
The codename for this rebrand and re-imagining was "Fresh" because FamilySearch was looking old and dated. They desperately needed to be brought up to modern standards. We developed a new logo, color palette, type standards and icons as well as new software concepts that have carried them forward.
As part of every rebrand we do, we make sure the logo and full identity works in all mediums and in all situations. This is the logo as seen on the FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.
To ensure ongoing brand identity consistency and quality, every branding project we engage in comes with a brand guide that our clients can send to companies that develop signage, ads and other assets for the brand moving forward.
We worked closely with the marketing team at FamilySearch to design and develop a new website that would raise the bar for the brand and give it a premium feel.
KABOOM also worked on the core software experience for both the mobile app as well as the logged-in website experience.
